The challenge
WeWomen set out to build a marketplace exclusively for women entrepreneurs — a place to list their businesses and sell to a women-only audience. The founders were up against the usual obstacles small sellers face: marketing budgets that never stretch far enough, commission fees that quietly erode already-thin margins, and the difficulty of reaching the right buyers.
They needed a platform that removed those frictions and put a ready-made, engaged audience within reach.
Our approach
We built WeWomen as a mobile marketplace where sellers create a business account and showcase products to a supportive, women-only community — and keep all of it, because the platform charges no transaction or commission fees. Listings span a broad mix of categories, from arts and jewellery to salon services and food, with search and filtering that make the right business easy to find.
Beyond the storefront, the app leans into community: members actively champion each other’s ventures, which widens reach for sellers without the marketing spend they couldn’t afford on their own.
