Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you use the App.

1. Agreement and who we are

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your use of the Color Picker App (the App), published by Multicore Technologies, a sole proprietorship based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India (we, "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, in line with these Terms and with Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). Where these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the more restrictive term governs for that conflict.

3. Free tier and Pro

The App is free to download. The free tier includes live camera colour capture, colour codes (HEX, RGB, CMYK, alpha), Color of the Day, the Harmony Wheel, a limited number of AI palette generations and gallery extractions each month, and up to five saved palettes. Free-tier features and limits may change over time.

Pro is an optional paid subscription. Pro adds unlimited AI palette generation (subject to fair use, see section 5), unlimited gallery extraction, AR try-on, a contrast checker, a colour-blind simulator, advanced colour comparison, the full Export Center (CSS variables, Tailwind config, Adobe swatch, Figma styles, JSON, CSV, TXT), and unlimited saved palettes.

4. Subscriptions

Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription at ₹99 per month or ₹599 per year. The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial. Prices include applicable taxes.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple charges your Apple ID for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period. If you cancel a free trial less than 24 hours before it ends, you may still be charged for the first paid period.

Billing, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms and policies. Refund requests are made to Apple, not to us. If a subscription price changes, Apple notifies you through the App Store, and your continued subscription may require your agreement as Apple directs.

5. Fair use

Unlimited Pro features, including AI palette generation, are subject to a reasonable fair-use cap to prevent abuse and to keep the service available to everyone. We may apply limits to usage that is automated, excessive, or that degrades the service for other users.

6. Colour accuracy

Colours shown on a screen depend on your device display, its settings, and the light around you. AR try-on is a visualisation aid, not a colour-matching tool. Physical paints, prints, fabrics and other materials will differ from what you see on screen. Always test a physical sample before making a purchase or production decision based on colour. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for decisions made from colours as rendered on a screen.

7. AI output

Palettes generated by the AI Palette Generator are suggestions, provided as-is. They may be imperfect, inconsistent, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Review any AI-generated output before you rely on it.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except where the law expressly allows it;
  • abuse, overload, or attempt to disrupt our AI service or the App;
  • use the App to break any law or to infringe anyone's rights; or
  • resell, rent, or redistribute the App or its features.

9. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and its underlying software are owned by us and are protected by law. These Terms do not transfer any ownership in the App to you. Palettes and colour values that you create from your own inputs are yours to use as you see fit.

10. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination and effect on subscriptions

We may suspend or end your access to the App if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Ending your use of the App does not by itself cancel a Pro subscription. You must cancel that through your Apple ID settings as described in section 4. Amounts already paid are non-refundable except as required by law or under Apple's policies.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to the App or these Terms.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change this page and revise the effective date shown at the top. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
